Sing "O" Lingo
A new and exciting language course for children from 6 months to 4yrs old. It is never too early to listen and learn a new language.
Benefits:
• Between birth and five years of age, the human brain is hard-wired for learning multiple languages. By the age of five this critical window of opportunity begins to close and difficulties to retain a new language and a good accent increase exponentially.
• Babies learn to talk by listening, hence gain understanding much sooner then they can speak.
• Babies listen to their mother’s voices from their womb and know the rhythm of their native language, from the minute they are born they are capable of differentiating between the sounds of any language in the world. Phonemes are what is known as the building blocks of language, and babies are far more attuned to these then adults, so why not take advantage now!
Course description:
Learning Spanish/French through song, rhyme and possibly a little bit of boogie! We will focus on 5 songs per half term covering numbers, colours, body parts, animals and much more. Each song will be sung with visual aids, four times, alternating from English to Spanish/French. The lyrics will be projected for all adults to see, as you too will be taking part in the learning.
Cost and other information:
Pay as you go: £6.00/class
Sibling discounts and Loyalty cards also available.
Spanish Classes: Tuesdays at 11:00am
Duration: approx. 45 minutes

Brief description:
Many people have very fond memories of growing up with dogs in the family. However, sadly it can go wrong resulting in dogs being given up to rescue centres, children who are scared of dogs, and sometimes worse. Problems often arise due to unrealistic expectations of dogs, misinterpreting or not understanding their behaviour and body language, and not spotting the warning signs for when a dog is just not coping with a baby or young child. This session will explore how to prepare your dog for a new addition to the family, and provide some tips for how to manage a dog and a baby, but the focus will be on understanding dog behaviour and body language to ensure your two legged family and four legged family all get along! Whether you have dogs in the family, or visit people with dogs, this interactive presentation will be useful and interesting.
Suzanne is an animal welfare professional with fifteen years experience of working with animals and people in a wide range of contexts from managing dog projects in developing countries, to working with owners to solve their horse behaviour problems, to helping rescue centres with their education work. She is a mum and dog owner.
Cost: £7 per adult
Babies welcome in the audience but please do not chat to other adults during the presentation. There are two dates for this presentation as follows.
